It is years since I last saw a chameleon of any kind in Grahamstown – so good to see these photographs.

This is actually not the one you get in Grahamstown. The one we get in Grahamstown is called the eastern cape dwarf chameleon. you can find pictures of it on my site. Its part of the same genus as this one:)

I am aware of that – your photographs reminded me that chameleons were commonly found in Grahamstown gardens many years ago and, alas, no more.

There are less common around grahamstown but still abundant areas if you know where to look

Hi Chad, we have 4 of these gorgeous creatures in our garden. Last year the Mom had about 7 babies which were immediately taken, absorbed, eaten or simply crawled away. This year I would like to possibly keep better watch over the babies, if there is another birth, that is. Any advice?
I would also like to do a Watercolour painting of a chameleon, but my photography efforts have been blurred.
Would you consider my using a photograph of yours to use as a subject?
Kind regards
Louise Mc Nish
